Nucleus honeybee colonies are the best way to start new or restock empty bee hives!  The Nuc contains 5 STANDARD DEEP frames of bees and a new mated queen in a waxed corrugated 5-frame nuc box. The frames are an active bee hive that contain brood, honey, and pollen.  We raise the queens from our own breeder hives.  Queens are selected by Jeremy Rose from our best Central Coast California colonies.  

Nucleus colonies build up fast and make abundant honey when you put them in a suitable site!

It is important that you have more than one bee colony, since frames from one can be used to restore or correct problems with other hives.  We strongly recommend that you order at least two nucs unless you have other hives already.

First come first served!  Orders will be completed in the order that paid orders are received. We get extremely busy during the spring!
